Under chemo the body is already going through so much and some of the side effects can be unbearable. Nausea is a possible side effect. While you may be prescribed an anti-nausea mediation, perhaps you may want to consider a natural alternative.
Ginger is a natural alternative. Ginger comes in many forms like, cookies, gum, ginger chips (more like little slivers of ginger), and tea. The taste of ginger can be too much for some, but a quick cup of tea is better than feeling nausea all day or taking another medication. Some people say that peppermint is helpful as well. So maybe keeping a peppermint in your mouth, will help or a cup of peppermint tea. Or maybe chewing peppermint gum, if you like chewing gum.
There are many natural alternatives that can help you manage the side effects of chemo. Natural remedies may not work for everyone. Please consult your doctor prior to trying anything new.
