It is ok to ask for help. As a matter of fact you need it. You may be someone that is very private, but the truth is you will be exerting an amazing amount of energy, and the smallest amount of help will be a blessing. The smallest task will make you tired. Getting dressed, making yourself a meal, or simply getting the mail, it is ok to ask for help.
It may not be easy for you but you can change your mindset. Stop thinking you have to be the one that does it all and start accepting assistance. Once you accept having help from others, you will be able to concentrate on your healing. It is not being suggested that you stay in the bed, because you need to keep moving around, but ask when you need to; you are all ready doing the hard part.
